StarLadder Berlin Major is one of the most the most important CS:GO tournaments of 2019. 24 of the best CS:GO teams in the world will gather in Berlin to compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000. We’ll gather below the main information you need to know, such as the dates and schedule, what teams are qualified and how the prize pool is spread out.
Dates & Schedule – When is Starladder Berlin Major taking place?
The Berlin Major will take place between August 23 and September 8, 2019. There are going to be 3 stages:
1. August 23 – August 26: The New Challengers Stage
16 teams will compete in the Swiss System Format. The top 8 teams will proceed to the next stage, while the bottom 8 will be eliminated. All matches are Best of 1, except the decisive ones (Advancement and Elimination), which are Best of 3.
The matches will take place at Verti Music Hall.
2. August 28 – September 1: The New Legends Stage
16 teams (8 coming from the previous stage and 8 being from The Current Legends) will compete in the Swiss System Format. Top 8 teams will advance to The New Champions Stage. Matches are Best of 1, except the Elimination and Advancement, which are Best of 3.
The matches from this stage will take place in Verti Music Hall as well.
3. September 5 – September 8: The New Champions Stage
The final stage, also known as the Playoffs, will have a single-elimination bracket in a Best of 3 format.
The matches will take place at Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Teams Qualified for CS:GO Berlin Major 2019
8 teams are having the status as “The Current Legends”, as they qualified for the playoffs of the previous CS:GO Major (IEM Katowice 2019): Astralis, ENCE, Natus Vincere, MIBR, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Renegades and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
6 other teams are qualified as well from the previous Major, having the status of “The Returning Challengers”: Team Vitality, AVANGAR, Forfeited Slot, TBD, G2 Esports and Complexity Gaming.
The last 11 teams got qualified through The Minor Challengers: mousesports, CR4ZY, NRG, FURIA, forZe, Syman Gaming, Grayhound Gaming, Tyloo, North, DreamEaters and INTZ.

What is the prize pool?
The total prize pool is $1M and will be spread among the top 8 teams:

- Runner-up – $150,000
- 3rd & 4th places – $70,000
